Next Monday, Israel is set to witness one of its most talked-about events: the wedding of Avner Netanyahu, the youngest son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who will marry his partner, Amit Yardeni.
The upcoming celebration has already stirred significant public discussion, particularly around the appropriateness of a lavish, high-profile wedding during wartime, while 55 hostages remain in Hamas captivity. Reports have mentioned potential protests outside the venue, as well as speculation over the outfits to be worn by the bride, the groom, and Sara Netanyahu.
As with any high-profile wedding, many expected a guest list packed with public figures and political elites. However, sources close to the couple say Avner Netanyahu personally vetoed such plans. As of now, ministers and members of Knesset are not among the hundreds of guests invited to the private event. While several well-known names are expected to attend—including business figures, friends, and family—politicians will be notably absent from the festivities at Ronit Farm.

During an exchange of barbs at a Knesset Finance Committee meeting earlier today, MK Moshe Gafni remarked that he had not received an invitation to the wedding. Meanwhile, sources close to the couple said that Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev was hurt by the decision. “Miri considered herself close to the family—more than just a government minister,” a source said. “She was offended not to be invited.”
